“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
II Timothy 1:7
Fear is not from God. We all face situations that make us fearful. We all understand that daunting feeling of fear. But what we need to understand is that it is not from God. God did not give us a spirit of fear. Instead, what He gave us is a spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. When we live righteously, we have the power of God supporting us. And, wow, is there a lot of power in the name of Jesus. He has also given us the ability to love others deeply. God wants us to love others as He loves us. And He has given us a mind that is supposed to be calm and controlled, rather than panicked and confused. Fear will negate all of these things. Fear will keep us from fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives. So whenever we’re feeling fearful, we need to remind ourselves that it is not from God. It is not how God wants us to feel, or how He has programmed us to feel. He wants us to feel His power, love His people, and be self-disciplined. Don’t let fear win. Always remember that God is good, and good wins.
God bless you all.
