Prayer for Strength in the Lord

The First Letter of Peter is addressed to Christians who are being persecuted. The ending of the letter gives them a very powerful reminder that they are God’s chosen people and they mustn’t lose hope in Him while they’re suffering. This is the absolute truth for all of us every day. We all face hardships and we all suffer. And the answer to that is GOD. We must constantly remain under the power of Jesus. We need to be living in HIS strength and under HIS control, not our own. Surrender yourself, because I promise you that you can’t do this without Him. We need God. We need to depend on His spirit within us for strength.

‭‭I Peter‬ ‭5:6-11‬ says: “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Humble yourselves before the Lord during any and all circumstances, and He will lift you up when the time is right. Give your worries to Him, because he cares about you so much. Always stay alert, because the enemy is silently waiting for you to have moments of weakness. Stand firm in your faith and he won’t win. Remember that we are all suffering in this world together. Take comfort in knowing that after you suffer here in this temporary life you will get to spend eternity in Heaven. God has called you to share in His eternal glory through Jesus Christ. Thank you, Jesus. All the glory to Him forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Stay strong and faithful in the Lord, my friends.

God bless you all.
