God is With You

When I say that God is with you, I mean it in the literal sense. When you put your faith in Jesus Christ, His Spirit actually dwells inside of you. Your old life is crucified and a new one is born. You are made new with Him. In turn, you should be living your life in reverence to Him. I don’t know about you, but there really is no other way that I would rather live than by honoring the son of God who gave His life for me.

Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭says: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Romans‬ ‭8:9-11‬ ‭reads like this: “But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

I typically read the New King James Version of the Bible, but sometimes I find other versions to be easier for people to understand. Here is how the English Standard Version of Romans 8:9-11 reads: “You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”

‭‭Take a look at 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:16‬: “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” Our bodies are temples of God. That is how they were designed to be.

In John‬ ‭14:16-17‬, Jesus promises the Holy Spirit to us by saying this: “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”

If you read further, Jesus also says this: “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.” John 14:19-20‬ ‭

‭‭How comforting is it to know that God is always with us? Through the good times and the bad. He is with you.

Zephaniah‬ ‭3:17‬ says: “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

‭And how soothing is Isaiah‬ ‭43:2‬? “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” ‭‭

When I first started getting very close to God, I would continuously repeat these next few verses over and over again in my head. They are just constant reassurances that God is always there and He is not leaving. You will never be forsaken by the Lord.

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua‬ ‭1:9‬

I’m going to leave you with this final verse. It’s a pretty popular Psalm:

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” Psalms‬ ‭46:1‬

God truly is our refuge and our strength. Call upon Him when you are in trouble, because He is always waiting and ready to help. Share your joys and your triumphs with Him as well, because He wants to celebrate with you. God is with you and He loves you very much.

God bless you all.

  1. It is always comforting and reassuring to know The Holy Spirit is always walking with me and guiding the daily activities the Lord has assigned for that day. I like the Amplified version or the new living translation

    1. The Holy Spirit gets me through everything! I read the NKJV because that is the version that the Pastor at my church teaches from. But I love looking through different versions, as they all translate things a little differently and in their own unique way.
